Oh man! Cave Story!

Which is, by the way, a freeware platform adventure made by Pixel studio, makers of this one other game where you play as an octopus. Anyway, it's got ACTION. And shooting! And huge bosses.

Anyway, it's AWESOME. I need to beat it again!

Also: Remember when the blurbs on boxes when gaming was young?
I mean, seriously
"HUGE ARSENAL" and "KILLER BOSSES" are awesome selling points.

Okay, I can't figure out how to download/open the game. I get to the page with the three links, the top two of which are downloads, but I don't have the appropriate program to open the files they contain it says. I've downloaded the English patch, but I don't know how to patch the game if I can't open it.

What kind of file are you trying to open that you're unable to?

Well, I can see you didn't actually bother to check, since I looked at the page you seem to be referring to and it says .lhz.

1) I think WinRar can open lhz files. It's just a compression format (I just looked it up, as I wasn't sure myself)

2) I'm pretty sure the HotU download is a .zip file. The .lhz ones were on the developer's site or something.
